Q. I wear lots of black and grey and love the look but i would also love to add some colour to my wardrobe without looking like i swallowed a 5yr olds clown party.

A. Hmmm... I am all for looking like a 5 year olds clown party! The more colourful the better! : D
I can understand how as a wearer of black and grey you can find the prospect of crazy colours a bit daunting. I have a good friend who used to only wear black. She found it difficult to know which colours would suit her, so she didn't wear any.
Start by adding some subtle colour to you wardrobe like olive greens, plums and steely blues this will get you feeling more comfortable about wearing things other than black. Take a friend whose opinion you trust shopping with you. That way if you are a redhead about to make the faux pas of buying a neon orange hair band you have someone to intervene!
Once you are used to wearing the odd piece in a different colour get adventurous! Buy something in a royal blue or bright red. I gave my friend a royal blue unicorns hoodie for her birthday and she wears it all the time now with a little blue denim skirt and black tights. It looks great!
Another option is to accesorise your black items with vivid colours like a bright belt and/or shoes. This will show you are an individual without being too in your face. I love stepping out in all black with my glam rocker shopper and neon yellow shoes. Cool accessories can turn a normally boring outfit into something with a bit of wow factor!

Since getting my glam rock shopper, I team it with my yellow ballet pumps and a black dress too :D

My cat is all black but refuses to wear yellow ballet pumps, for some reason the only thing she'll wear is one giant green welly. Any advice?
Cheers
