Electric Feel by MGMT (click to download the mp3)
MGMT (pronounced management) are a pretty new band hailing from the US who've been blowing up big time over there. They managed to impress enough to get Flaming Lips producer Dave Fridmann to produce their debut album, Oracular Spectacular. The influence of David Fridmann certainly shows in the production with a sound ranging from Satanic era Rolling Stones to Pink Floyd to Flaming Lips to Beck to Arcade Fire. Their mixture of synth styled pop and psych rock is AWESOME... oh and they wore capes for their performance on David Letterman a few weeks ago. KUDOS!
The video below is a screen capture of someone playing the interactive music video game for MGMT's new song "Electric Feel" (which sounds like Prince produced by Hot Chip). There are supposedly 625 to the 229th power different ways the video can turn out (who the hell figured that out?). You can download the interactive video at: whoismgmt.com/efvideo Do it, it's kickass!!!

Gilt Complex by Sons and Daughters (click to download the mp3)

The first single to be taken from the bands new album, "This Gift" released on the 28th of January. It's an awesome tune full of pounding rhythm and rockin' guitar. Sons and Daughters hail from Glasgow and are now on their third album. Check out "Johnny Cash", "Fight" and "Blood" from their debut album "Love the Cup" and "Dance Me in" and "Monsters" from their second album "Repulsion Box" for more great songs.
